Land Planning
Land planning is the process of developing strategies
and concepts for usage of the land. These services are
typically focused on larger developments. However,
development of strategies for smaller more restrictive
sites is becoming more common. Some of the
constraints considered in arriving at the development
strategy are transportation, environmental, existing and
future land use of the site or its surroundings, utilities,
and political boundaries. The Team has experience in
all aspects of these common constraints as well as
many others.
Recreation planning is part of the land planning
services. Included is the development and design of
small, single-use parks to analyzing regional
recreational needs.
In addition to the land planning and recreation planning
the Team can assist in preparing and processing
rezoning applications, land use amendments, and
preparing DRIs (development of regional impacts).
These DRIs involve coordination with local, state
and sometimes federal agencies.
