Louis L. Downer,

Louis
Downer, Jr., a graduate of the University
of Florida
in Gainesville, Florida, earned his degree in Landscape Architecture. Following
college, Louis held positions in the Land Development and
Landscape Architecture fields in
Fort Lauderdale
and Boca Raton,
Florida. After relocating to Atlanta he advanced into Sr. Project management and Department
management for a multi-national engineering firm. While there, Louis
specialized not only in Land Development but also Environmental
Planning, processing of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 404(b)
permits, as well as state and local permitting. Mr. Downer is a
registered Landscape Architect in Georgia
and Florida.
Louis
believes being active in his community is a priority. Using his
skills both as a Landscape Architect and leader, Louis is serving his
3rd term as Chairman of the Keep Douglasville Beautiful Board,
He feels there is much that can and should be done in the cleaning up
and beautification of our communities.
The
Mission of Keep Douglasville Beautiful is to practice, promote and
encourage environmental stewardship through public education and
community-based projects within the City of Douglasville. Louis takes this into not only his participation in the City
of Douglasville but also into all of his projects.
